Donald Trump made a stir when he announced he was thinking about running for president. This isn’t the first time he pondered running for office. When President Bush was in office he also made some noise about running for office. Donald Tromp has stated has since backed off his initial claims and stated he won’t be seeking election in 2012, but that may change.
It is 2011 and there seems to be no clear cut Republican favorite for president. This means that Trump very well could get back into the mix of things and have a good chance of winning a nomination. Trump has a easily recognizable face and name. Almost everybody in American knows who he is.
One of the problems Donalt Trump would face if he ran for office would be that it seems people either love him or they hate him. There doesn’t seem to be a middle ground when it comes to The Donald. He is indeed a very polarizing figure. This is great when it comes to reality television and ratings for his show, but isn’t great of the political field.
Another problem he faces is that most Americans simply can’t relate to Trump. He was born into a rich family and has had money all of his life. Would Americans put their trust in a person who they may feel can’t relate to them? Americans usually elect a candidate that they feel comfortable with. Does Trump fit that mold?
At the end of the day, it is anybody’s guess as to if Donald Trump will jump back into the middle of things. The Republican side of things is wide open right now and is ready for somebody to jump in and take control of things. Will that be The Donald? Only time will tell.
